Goodbye Ellie

We are so sad to say that we had to get rid of our little Ellie doggie. She was our little baby a was so loved. Before Jace was born she was my little buddy and kept me company when Gabe had to work late. She was a very sweet dog that had so much love to give. I know some of you are thinking that she is just a dog, but she was part of our family for two years and was like a kid to us:) We had to get rid of her because of a couple things. Between both Gabe and I working and just being gone a lot doing different activities, we felt like she was constantly in her kennel. She was out for maybe three hours a day. So we felt horrible and knew that she would be much happier with a family that could spend more time with her. Also now that we have Jace, when i come home from work all I want to do is spend time with him since I had been gone all day and a little baby requires a lot of attention between feeding changing and just wanting to be held, so she got little attention from me and I felt so bad about it. Also she never quite grasped the whole potty outside thing and would go in our house sometimes, which I was never ok with, but I am even more not ok with it now that we have a baby that will be crawling around soon in all of those doggy germs. So yeah those are the reasons we had to say good bye. A girl that I work with has a sister that wanted her. She has four kids that I know will give her plenty of love and attention. She will be missed but we know that it is for the best.

Just some pics of Ellie to remember her

She was actually really good with Jace though and would just sniff him or come and lay by him.
This was the first day we got her. Love you Ellie.

Summer Fun!!

We have had a fun last couple of weeks! Between our 4 year anniversary, Gabes 27th Birthday and a weekend get away with Gabes fam, we have been enjoying our last couple weeks of summer. Can you believe summer is almost over already?! I'm not too happy about it.

We went up to Pineview reservoir with gabes family and stayed in there condo there! We had so much fun and it was so nice to spend time together and just get away for a bit. We did a lot of swimming, we went jet skiing and hung out at the lake and played a lot of the Wii. Thanks Don and Kristi. We had a blast.

Us at the pool. Jace swam a little and liked it, but I was nervous that he would get burnt, since you aren't suppose to put sunscreen on them yet. So he just hung out most of the time.

I know I look nasty, but hey i was swimming:)

Chris and Ash goin out on the wave runner

Gabe and I on the wave runner. Gabe was a wild one and flipped us off one time. We went flying and had to swim it felt like forever to get back to the wave runner. I smacked my toe on wave runner and thought I broke it. It still hurts and is bruised, but I think I just jammed it or something. Good memories!

Gabe and his brother Chris have the same birthday, so it was fun to celebrate it together. We are sad though because Chris and his family just left for the Czech Republic. Chris is playing Basketball for the European league over there for the season. They will be greatly missed, but we couldn't be more proud and hope the best for them!!

Gabe had a great birthday and got a lot of good stuff. We love you Gabers!

Gabe forgot to smile and Jacers wasn't too happy, but oh well we got the pic!

Gabe and his children:)

Happy anniversary to us! It was our fourth anniversary on the 17th. I can't believe it's been 4 years! We love our life together, and I couldn't ask for a better husband and friend! He is such a hard worker and even though he is exhausted when he gets home from work, he always has a smile on his face and helps out so much. Can't wait to spend many more with you Gabe!! Love you!!
He brought me home these beautiful flowers for our anniversary!!

So pretty. (the flowers, not me:))

2 Months/Blessing

My little Jacers is 2 months old now and has changed so much since he was born. He is such a fun baby and has brought so much joy and love to our home! Gabe and I always just stare at him in amazement that he is ours. He had his 2 month check up... here are his stats.
Height: 23 in 71st%
Weight: 13.4 lbs 77th%
Head cir: 15 3/4 in 42nd%
He got his first set of shots and did pretty good. He only cried when they stuck it in, and then was smiling right after.

I wanted to jot down some things about Jace so I don't forget...
He Loves to be outside
He eats every 2 hours, I've tried to change it to 3 but that hour in between is heck so well stick to 2 till he's ready i guess.
He is a champ sleeper. He goes to bed around 9:30, 10ish and wakes up around 5:30 to eat and goes right back to sleep.
He loves bath time and could stay in the warm water for hours if i'd let him.
He loves his binki
He loves to hold mommys hair
He looks a lot like his daddy
He has blue eyes. Both Gabe and I have brown, my mom has blue eyes so maybe he got them from her.
He is smiling a cooing a lot
He has some amazing lungs and screams instead of cries, you would think someone was pinching him or something sometimes.
He constantly fights sleep, you think he's zonked out and then I go to lay him down and his eyes are wide open. It gets kinda frustrating, but I guess he doesn't want to miss out on any fun!
He is a pretty good baby and mainly just cries when hes hungry or really tired.
I could go on and on, but I wont, we just love him and are so happy to say he's ours!

At the pool sleepin in the stroller, he wasn't too fond of the cold water

Jace was blessed last sunday on Aug 1st. Gabe gave him a beutiful blessing, It was such a good day. We had a lunch after the blessing over at Gabes parents house in there back yard. Thanks to all who came and supported Jace on his special day!

He looked so hansome
