Jace is 1!!

Jace turned 1 on May 27th . It seriously blows my mind that I have a one year old. It feels like I just had him, but on the other hand, I can't remember life with out him. We have absolutley LOVED having him in our family! He is constantly making us laugh, and we are amazed at all the things he learns in so little time! Of course we've had our fair share of rough times, but at the end of the day when i'm rocking him and he's snuggling on my shoulder, I realize how lucky we are to have him! Happy 1st birthday Jace, we LOVE you!!

Some things about Jace at 1 years old:
-He crawls all over the place and pulls him self up on to everything, but is no where near close to walking.
-Words he knows, and his versions of them, uh-oh, dog, ball, mom, dad, baloon(baoon), baba, bubble(bubo), Hi(it more sounds like eye though), outside(oweseye).
-Cutest thing ever is he puts the remote up to his ear and leans his head on his sholder like he's talking on the phone and says hi, hi, hi. It's hilarious!
-Still loves his binki and his crocheyed blanket, it's not going to be fun to ween him from these.
-He's obsessed with the stairs. We have a gate at the top, but not the bottom, so every chance he gets, he is sneaking up the stairs, and then when he gets caught, he squeels and goes up them as fast as he can. He hasn't fallen down them yet and hopefully never will.
-He loves to be tickled, like the soft kind, and when we tickle him, he says ahhhh, ahhhh, and when i'm changing his clothes he tickles him self and sayes the same thing. So cute!!
-He points to everything that he wants, which makes it kinda nice cause we don't have to try to read his mind.
-He's extremely obsessed with any type of ball and that is pretty much all he plays with all day long. The other day, I was making BLTs for dinner and he saw a whole tomatoe on the counter and he kept saying ball and pointing at it, wanting it so bad.
-He has a really good arm and chucks balls clear accross the room and loves to play catch back and fourth all day.
-Finally has two teeth, just the lower front ones.
-Prefers human food over baby food any day, and is pretty much on all normal foods except he still drinks a bottle.

We had a little family party at our club house for his b-day. We had pizza, watched a slide show video of Jaces first year, opened presents, and ate cake. His party was kinda ball themed since that is what he's into right now, it was fun!


I bought baloons for his party, and he was packing all 12 of them around every where he went before the party, it was so hilarious!



I made this B-ball cake for him to dig into, but he wanted nothing to do with it. I was kinda bugged and about shoved his face in it just so I didn't feel like it was a total waste:) He ate some the next day though!





Again he is obsessed and held on tight to the baloons while eating his pizza.

My mom made this bench for him for his b-day. It's just his size and so cute!

We got him this ball pit for his b-day, and he LOVES it! We thought it would be hilarious to see him surrounded by balls. Our house is pretty much a ball pit now, but at least he's happy!

Outdoor Fun!

We went to the tulip festival last week with some of our neighbor friends. It was such a nice day, and was actually really cool to see all of the pretty flowers and different fountains and water falls they had. We all packed a lunch and had a little pick nick and let the kids run wild. It was fun and nice to get out and enjoy the nice weather!



Jace thought it was really cool to stand at the fountains like a big boy.

Our next outing was over mothers day weekend with my family. We went up to my parents property to do some camping and spend some time together. It was super nice weather to where we had to layer on the sunscreen, but still got burnt. It was nice to get away for the weekend and just relax.


Jace was obsessed with this swing and wanted to be in it all day long. If he saw the swing he would point to it and say uh uh uh:)

We took jace on the four wheeler and the Go cart and he loved it. He jibber jabbered the whole time and had a grin from ear to ear. We of course went slower with him on.

Easter Fun!!

We had a great easter this year. It was Jaces first, which made it that much more fun. Obviously he is still little and doesn't get the whole concept, but we had fun. Sunday morning we woke up and went to church. Seeing as our church was at 9a.m. we decided to do his basket after since Jace really didn't care either way. Church was uplifting and really good. Then when we got home, we did a little hunt through the house to find his basket, I know silly right? Well that is what we did all growing up and loved it, so I want to keep the tradition going. Anyways, Jace found his basket in the tub:) and he was so happy when he saw it. He is still really loving balls, so the Easter bunny got him a bunch, some treats, and other little things that he loves. I am kind of a mean mom though and didn't let him have any candy. I know it was his first easter, i'm just not ready for that yet, so in his eggs were puffs and yogurt melts, his favorite:) After he played for hours with his eggs and balls, we headed over to Gabes parents house for some yummy dinner and a fun little hunt for the kids. I'm mad though, I forgot my camera. It was a fun Easter and nice to relax and be together.

This is a random picture I wanted to post. I was getttig ready for the day in the bathroom one morning and he was happy and just playing when I looked over at him and found him zonked out like this:) Silly little boy, he must have been exhausted.



Spring Break

I had the whole week off from work for spring break and it was amazing. Gabe still had to work, so we didn't go any where, but Jace and I just chilled the entire time and did a few fun things.



This is one of his new favorite places in the house. He just jabbers and kisses him self it's pretty cute!



We went to Hee Haw Farms with some of our neighbor friends. We got to go in the baby animals cage and play with and pet the baby animals, it was so fun!



This baby cow just sat there the entire time and let all the kids maul it.

She is so cute with Jace and he thought she was so fun. They just laughed at eachother the entire day.



I crammed both of them in my jogging stroller. They thought that was pretty fun until they were both exhausted on the way home and just wanted to lay down wich doesn't work so well in a one seater.

Guess who decided to crawl! He did it while I was off, which was fun to see him try to figure it out. Now he cruises all over the house and is into pretty much everything. I love it though! Oh yeah and he finally had a tooth break through too.

It was so nice having some time off to just be able to relax and spend time with Jace. It was a much needed break.  Now i'm home again today wich i'm suppose to be at work. Jace was throwing up ALL night long... and now is happy as can be. Little stinker. Not sure if he's sick, or just ate something that didn't agree with him, but I didn't want to chance it and leave him.

Random

We went to our annual Utah Dental convention up in Salt lake a few weeks ago. We always stay the night and have way too much fun with just the girls. We went to dinner browsed the gateway, went hot tubbing, watched a chick flick, and did glitter toes. Our boss gave us all money to spend wich made it ten times better. I just love my office and the girls I work with.
