Happy Thanksgiving!!

This thanksgiving we went to Rexburg Idaho. Gabe's step-moms family does Thanksgiving every four years up there, and this was the year. We drove up there Thursday, and came home saturday. It was a lot of fun. Don and Kristi got a hotel for gabe and I, and we shared a room with Kris, Melanie, and Rayder. It was fun to hang out with them all weekend. After Thanksgiving in the church where we knew hardly anyone, we all went to Gabe's Grandma and Grandpa Ricks house to play games and just hang out. Then the next day we went shooting with all the cousins. It was cold, but alot of fun. That night it was Grandpa ricks 70th Birthday party. That was alot of fun too. That night, Gabe and Kris went to Jack in the box and came back with a chicken fajita pita for me and it obvoiusly didn't sit well with me, because I was throwing up all night. Fun huh!! All in all it was a great weekend get a way, and we are looking forward to the next one.

This is a picture of me, Gabe, and Gabes dad lifting our head board over the balcony. My dad was at the bottom and we were pulling it up from the top. When we were moving, our head board wouldn't fit up the stairs, so we had to get creative. I think we might throw the head board in, if we ever move, because that was a lot of work:)

Baby Shower

My mom and I threw my sister Nicole a babyshower. She is due in January and is having a baby girl. We are so excited, since this will be the first baby on my side of the family. My parents are so exctied to be grandparent, and i'm so excited to be an aunt. The shower was at my clubhouse. We had a really great turnout, and she got alot of cute stuff. Thanks everyone who helped with food, and came to support Nicole.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

This was a great halloween. Last saturday, we went to our annual halloween party at Brandon and Lindsay's house. They always put on the funnest party. We ate some yummy food, had a costume contest, played pinatta, did the limbo, and played murderer in the dark. There were so many creatine costumes. Thanks again brandon and Lindsay for putting on such a great party.

We also went with our friends Nate and jamie to the Haunted castle in Salt Lake. It was pretty scary. Then when we got back, we carved pumpkins at their house. It was alot of fun. Thanks Nate and Jamie for hangin out!!

Backpacking

This past weekend we went backpacking with Gabe's parents. We went up to the uintas. Is was a little cold, but it was very pretty and nice to just get away. You are all probably thinking that we are mountain men seeing as our last three posts have been about hunting, fishing, and camping. Both of our families are the outdoorsie type, and so are we:) We got to the Uintas at about 9 at night and started hiking. It was pitch black and we had to use flash lights to see the trail. The hike was up hill the whole time and it was about a mile long. We made it to camp at about 10:30. This was my first backpacking experience with Gabe. Last christmas Gabe bought me a backpack, and i thought it was a waste because I didn't think I would ever use it, but i'm gald i have it now. We enjoyed spending the day with Don and Kristi and being able to relax at the lake and just enjoy life:)

Final fishing trip of the season!!

We went fishing at salem ponds last Wednesday. I told Gabe that this would have to be our final fishing trip of the year because it is getting too cold to go anymore. I hate being cold, So fishing while freezing to death just isn't my favorite. Any one who knows Gabe knows that he is a hard core fisherman and will go weather it's snowing or pooring rain. He is constantly begging people in the winter to go with him. No one will ever go because they dont want to freeze to death:)Anyway, we had a fun time with our fishing buddies Jerome and Kass(our brother and sister-in-law). We caught our limit wich is 4 each and called it good. Thanks Jerome and Kass for always going fishing with us spurr of the moment:) I look forward to more fishing next year.

Fun filled weekend

On Friday I went camping with my family. We went to trout creek up by strawberry resivoure. It was really rainy and cold. The reason we were camping is because it was the elk hunt. Every year my family goes up there. The girls hang out at camp, and the men go out hunting. Gabe couldn't go, he had to work:( We didn't get to do as much as we wanted because it was bad weather. We didn't really get to ride the four wheelers. I was sad because that's always my favorite part. We just sat around the camp fire, and hung out in the trailor.

I came home early from the elk hunt on saturday and i went with Kristi, Mel, and Raider to Kassies baby shower. My sister-in-law Kassie is having a baby Girl in December. We are so excited for them, they will be such cute parents. The shower was fun, and she got alot of cute girly stuff!!

Canning

Every year me my mom and my sisters get together and can tomatoe juice. One of my favorite things to eat is maccaroni spaghetti. Which is tomatoe juice and maccaroni noodles. So I was very excited to bottle the juice. We canned 110 cans in 4 hours. It was a lot of work and we were very exhausted by the end. To can tomatoes, one person cuts tomatoes, one person holds the drill while pushing the tomatoes down the juicer, and the other gets the bottles ready. We worked great as a team and got ten boxes of tomatoes finished in pretty good time.

Oh Yeah and by the way I got really brave on Friday and I cut my hair short. I cut six inches off. Every time I get my hair done my sister who is my hair dresser, is always telling me I should cut my hair short, since my hair has been the same length since like, 8th grade. Im glad I did it and like the change. Thanks Nicole for encouraging me to do it!!

Ellies turtle neck

So, I take my dog Ellie on walks every morning before work at 6:30 a.m. It's getting colder and ellie doesn't have very thick hair, and she freezes half to death, so i decided that i needed to get her a sweater. I never thought I would buy clothes for a dog but, she is pretty much my baby so why not, right!! Anyways, I thought she looked really cute in it, and had to share!! P.S. she is alot warmer now with her little turtleneck!!
