Holiday Festivities!

We had a really good holiday weekend. It was my birthday on the fourth. I love that my birthday is on Independence day. Family is always together, there are lots of fireworks and I get to share my b-day with the day of our countries freedom! When I was younger I always thought everyone was doing fireworks just for me, but then my parents had to set me straight:) We did fireworks with my fam on the 3rd and then we had a bbq and camp fire on the fourth with Gabes family. I'm mad cause I forgot my camera on the fourth, so no pics! It was a fun and busy weekend!

We went fishing a couple weeks ago with Josh and Nicole, we got scunked but it was a fun day at the lake!

My little baby is 6 weeks old and is getting chunkier and so cute. He has started to smile and is a lot more alert. We can't get enough of him!

Newborn Pics

When jace was two weeks, we took some pictures of him. We had my sisters sister-in-law Jessica take them for us, and I think they turned out really good! I wanted to get some pics of him when he was so tiny because I know he will grow so fast, and I don't want to forget how small he was. He is a month old now, and he already looks so different! Jace did pretty good. We were hoping he would fall asleep for some of them but he was wide awake the whole time! Thanks again Jess for doing them for us you're awesome!

Weekend Fun!

We had a really nice weekend. It started off with the Strawberry days rodeo of Friday with Gabes fam. We took Jace and he slept the whole entire time in his car seat, which was nice cause we could just relax and not worry about him. Then on Saturday Gabe and I decided since it was such a nice day, we wanted to take a picnic and go walk up to Bridal Veil Falls. Again Jace slept the entire time in his stroller:) It was such a nice day and fun to do something different. Then on Sunday we celebrated fathers day. This was Gabes first official fathers day as a dad, so it was fun to be able to spoil him for being such an amazing daddy and husband. We also went to both of our dads houses and spent some time with them as well. We love our dads and appreciate all that they do for us. So yeah we had a great weekend and are soooo glad it's finally nice weather!

2 weeks!

My baby is already 2 weeks old. Time is already flying by, before i know it I will have to go back to work and face reality:) We are just loving our little guy. He is a pretty good baby for the most part. I feel like he eats all day long though, and since i'm nursing, it kinda takes a lot out of you, but I love it! We went to his 2 week appointment and he is doing great! When we took him home from the hospital, he weighed 6lbs, 6oz's, and now he is 7lbs 14oz's. He is also 21 in long which puts him in the 85th percentile. He has big feet and hands too, so i'm sure he is going to be tall! He is a skinny little boy though, his new born clothes are just barely starting to fit him, which has been hard because I have mostly 0-3 month clothes and up, so he has been living in just onesies. Oh well atleast it's summer! Anyways, we are loving Jace and are so happy he is in our family. Oh yeah my due date is tomorrow too, it's crazy to think I could have still been pregnant if I wasn't induced! Crazy!!

Jace Joseph Miles.

Born Thursday May 27th at 10:33 A.M.

Weighing 7lbs 191/2 in long.

He's very helthy and so adorable.

Labor Story.....
I went in for my regular 1 week appt on Wednesday. My blood pressure has been high and that's why I was on bed rest. Well on Wed it was very high and the Dr. said that I needed to be done with being pregnant because the only cure to get my blood pressure down was to have the baby. So he told me to go to the hospital and get started on pitosin right away. 20 long hours later of only being dialated to a three, my body finally decided to kick into gear. I went to a five and then they checked me again an hour later and I was fully dialated. I pushed for 10 min and he was out! I had an epidural towards the end and was so greatful to have that. Over all it went good except for the 20 hours in between. We are so happy he's here. He is so adorable and we couln't be happier to parents to this little guy! And i'm not so sad to not be pregnant anymore:)
